Saturday 10/13/20187 I decided to stroll down to Main Street in Jackson where a couple of new restaurants opened up. Luka’s Restaurant looked interesting so in I went. I did not know what to expect as sometimes certain places can have a “stuffy” feeling. (I am not talking about the air! I am talking about attitudes.

I was met with a friendly attitude of the Bartendress who just move here from Nevada. Tall, Blonde and slender.. she has a great smile. So of course I am feeling good.

I strolled past the tables near entrance to a cozy bar for a glass of vino. The Zin was delightful. I asked if I could walk through the restaurant to view the “formal” dining area and the terrace located outside in the back. Nice!

I interior decoration with the photos really set an atmosphere of pleasantry. So after my short tour and photo taking I sat and enjoyed some conversation and the Zin.

For an appetizer I ordered the Antipasto and for the main meal it was the Haliput. Finally for desert hmmm I do not remember the name.. must have been the Zin. Lol

For me, the appetizer was ok…but just ok for me. For the tiny cheese balls I would have opted for some variety of other cheeses that would spread on the bread. And, a little Walnut Rasberry Vinigarette would have been nice.

Next, the main meal was Halibut. For the side dishes linguine and a baked potatoe. All three were cooked to perfection and I did not leave there feeling hungry in the least. Generous servings.

The restaurant is newly opened and they are still putting on some finishing touches but I would give them four stars. I would consider taking a date there for a relaxing evening.

      Go Luka’s.
